Chubby Chipmunk and Nutty Fever event in Grow a Garden

The Chubby Chipmunk event in Grow a Garden offers you the chance to get your own chipmunk pet and indulge in some Nutty Fever.

The end of that last sentence might sound a little odd, but starting Nutty Fever in Grow a Garden offers you the chance to earn some excellent rewards and it's all down to the Chubby Chipmunk. Or, to be more accurate, the Chubby Chipmunk's weight.

Chubby Fever and Nutty Fever event in Grow a Garden explained

There's two important parts of the Chubby Chipmunk event you need to keep in mind when playing Grow a Garden - the Chubby Chipmunk itself and Nutty Fever.

Chubby Chipmunk

The Chubby Chipmunk can be obtained for free by talking to the NPC, NUTs in the event area sitting in the middle of the garden plots. Once obtained, the Chubby Chipmunk will start eating your crops. Oh no! But the more weight it puts on, the more rewards you'll unlock. Hurray!

The Chipmunk will eat a crop every 118 seconds (essentially 2 minutes), and each time it does this the Chubby Chipmunk will also spawn an acorn around the map. Collecting these acorns will allow you to collect a variety of different rewards – we got 15 Watering Cans on our first pickup. Quite a nice passive bonus!

The main rewards, however, are the ones you'll obtain by reaching specific weight markers and there's a way to speed up these rewards…

Nutty Fever

By submitting 1,500 points worth of crops to the NUTS NPC, you can activate Nutty Fever. This lasts for five minutes and, during this time, the Chubby Chopmunk will consume crops at a faster rate. This means during Nutty Fever its weight will increase faster!

Acorns will also spawn more frequently around the map during Nutty Fever.

Different rarities of crop provide a different amount of points, and they are as follows:

• Mythical - 5
• Divine - 6
• Prismatic - 7
• Transcendent - 8
