Dudunsparce has debuted in Pokémon Go, with this release including shiny Dudunsparce and Three-Segment Dudunsparce.
Dudunsparce may be the long awaited evolution of Dunsparce, but it certainly doesn't look very different… Still, it's a new Gen 9 Pokémon for our Pokémon Go Pokédex and it has two forms to collect, so I shouldn't complain too much.

How to get Dudunsparce: How to evolve Dunsparce into Dudunsparce
You need 50 Dunsparce Candy to evolve Dunsparce into Dudunsparce in Pokémon Go.
Since Dunsparce was released in Pokémon Go quite a few years ago, longtime players will most likely already have enough candy for this evolution. If you don't or are a newcomer, then make sure you use Pinap Berries when attempting to catch a Dunsparce. This will double the amount of Catch Candy you'll receive and cut down on the amount of Dunsparces you need to catch.
Yet, whether you're a Pokémon Go newbie or long term player, there's something important you need to know about Dudunsparce…
Make sure you know the October event and raid schedule. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Three-Segment Dudunsparce: Dudunsparce forms in Pokémon Go explained
Dudunsparce has two forms: Two-Segment and Three-Segment. The difference between these two forms? Body length. Yup, that's it. Three-Segment Dudunsparce simply has a bit more bod compared to its Two-Segment counterpart. Due to this extra longness, Three-Segment Dudunsparce is the rarer form.
Thankfully, it has been confirmed that Three-Segment Dudunsparce is in Pokémon Go. (Thank you to culingerai for sharing theirs on The Silph Road subreddit.)
Evolving a Dunsparce into a Three-Segment Dudunsparce has a one in 100 chance. This means 99% chance Dunsparce will evolve into Two-Segment Dudunsparce, with Three-Segment taking the final 1%.
Sadly, it's impossible to know which Dudunsparce form you'll receive upon evolution. Just like with Tandemaus' evolution button always displaying the Family of Four Maushold form, Dunsparce's evolution button will only ever show Two-Segment Dudunsparce. Combining this fact with the Three-Segment odds makes evolving Dunsparce essentially a roll of the dice - hopefully it will come up three for you!

Is shiny Dudunsparce in Pokémon Go?
Yes, shiny Dudunsparce is in Pokémon Go. It was released alongside the Pokémon itself during the Completely Normal event in September 2025.
Shiny Dudunsparce is a very basic shiny Pokémon - any blue on its body is now pink. No other changes. Hope you enjoy it. (Look, let's just be happy it's not a green shiny. Got enough of those.)
Just keep in mind that Dudunsparce is, at the time of writing, only obtainable via evolution in Pokémon Go. This does mean you'll have to sacrifice a shiny Dunsparce if you want this special Pokémon. On the bright side, this does mean you might get a shiny Three-Segment Dudunsparce.
