How to get Prickly Pear in Grow a Garden

Prickly Pear was released as part of the Summer update in Grow a Garden.

We've ranked the Prickly Pear as an S-Tier plant on our plant tier list for Grow a Garden, simply because it's a multiple harvest plant that can sell for a lot of Sheckles in its basic form - it's worth even more if there aren't any drop mutations added to it.

How to get Prickly Pear in Grow a Garden

You can get Prickly Pear seeds from the Summer Seed Merchant for 555,000 Sheckles in Grow a Garden. It has a minimum value 6,318 Sheckles without any crop mutations, and as it's a multiple harvest fruit you can make a decent profit over time.

Prickly Pear seeds have a 'Mythical' rarity. It is a mutliple harvest crop, so while the initial price of the seed might seem like a lot it will pay off eventually.

If you're lucky enough to have a Red Fox pet and someone on the same server as you is growing a Prickly Pear, then there's a chance your fox will steal one of its seeds. If your Red Fox is at Level 1 then there's a chance this can happen every 10 minutes, so you will still have to wait. The downside to this method is that the Red Fox is from the Mythical Egg, which is currently unavailable in the game.

A similar method could be used with the Racoon pet, but this pet is currently unavailable in-game as it could only be obtained using the Night Egg during the Lunar Glow event.

If neither of these pet-based methods will work for you, then it's back to the Summer Seed Merchant. Remember, they are one of four Travelling Merchants that can appear every four hours in game, and if they do appear they only stick around for 30 minutes.
