How to get Wanderer Crest in Silksong
Looking to use the old method for pogoing? Here’s how to get the Wanderer Crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong and do just that.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is home to multiple equipable Crests that can change how Hornet’s kit works, including the Wanderer Crest, which brings back the vertical pogo from Hollow Knight (as opposed to Hornet’s default diagonal pogo in Silksong).
There are two ways of getting your hand on the Wanderer Crest and one is much more costly than the other, but does allow you to get your hands on it much earlier. Here’s how to get the Wanderer Crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
How to get Wanderer Crest in Silksong
The Wanderer’s Crest is found in the Wormways area of Hollow Knight: Silksong, which is accessible from Mosshome near the beginning of the game. You’ll only be able to access this area once you have successfully unlocked the Silkspear Skill in Mosshome and the Swiftstep Skill in Deep Docks.

On top of that, you’ll need to get your hands on a Simple Key to unlock the door leading to Wormways, though you can reach the area containing the Wanderer Crest without a Simple Key later into the game. We'll explain how to do that shortly.
If you're looking to get your hands on a Simple Key and enter Wormways that way, you can get your hands on one by completing any of the following:
- Purchase a Simple Key from Pebb in Bone Bottom for 300 Rosaries. If you do not buy this from Pebb, Grindle will instead sell it in Blasted Steps during Act 3 of the game.
- Purchase a Simple Key from Jubilana in Choral Chambers' Songclave for 650 Rosaries, after completing Songclave's The Wandering Merchant Wish.
- Picked up from the Bench in the far right-hand side of Sands of Karak.
- Dropped by a Roachkeeper enemy in the far right-hand side of Sinner's Road.
The first method of acquiring the Wanderer Crest – using the Simple Key (likely from Pebb) – requires you to take the elevator from Bone Bottom up to Mosshome, provided you have unlocked it. From here, continue upwards and head left; there’ll be two hanging crates you can dash onto to then enter a long room with a vomiting bug on the ceiling.

Sprint past this bug and into the next area to be met with a locked door; use the Simple Key to unlock it and enter the Wormways. You can also jump down, between the locked door and the exit, to find a Mask Shard behind a breakable wall.

From the following room, head downwards immediately and keep right, where you’ll be able to open a shortcut back to Bone Bottom. Once that’s done, go left to reach a small building you can enter; the Chapel of the Wanderer. Inside, you’ll be able to claim the Wanderer Crest... after completing a brief gauntlet of Pilgrim enemies!
The alternative route into the Wormways that doesn’t require you to save up for Pebb’s Simple Key instead requires you to progress far enough into Silksong that you have unlocked the Cling Grip Skill from Deep Docks and the Drifter's Cloak from Far Fields. With these Skills, there’s an entry into Wormways via Mosshome that you can access (pictured below).

By using Cling Grip and Drifter's Cloak, you can keep to the north of Mosshome and reach Bonegrave - where Chapel of the Wanderer is - without needing to spend any Rosary Beads. That said, Pebb’s Simple Key will no doubt come in use later on so it’s still worth purchasing it when you can!
