This 27-inch Asus glossy OLED gaming monitor is £200 off for October Prime Day

OLED gaming monitors are getting increasingly affordable, and one of the best October Prime Day deals is on a great example from Asus.
The ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG is a bit of an alphabet soup name-wise, but it makes up for it with a 27-inch glossy W-OLED panel rated for a 1440p resolution and maximum 240Hz refresh rate. It's currently discounted from £699 to £499, a nice £200 savings that works out to a 36 percent reduction.
We recommend OLED gaming monitors a lot, because they deliver unbeatable contrast, pixel response times and colour reproduction - and these new generation panels offer much better text clarity, brightness and durability than the first models that hit the market. This particular model is notable for being one of the very few glossy OLED gaming monitors available, with a coating that looks richer while still handling reflections well.
You can certainly get higher resolution OLED gaming monitors such as this 32-inch MSI 4K 240Hz model that's discounted to £569, but 1440p is a great choice for anyone with a more mid-range desktop PC or laptop as it still provides a lot of extra clarity over 1080p, while being significantly easier to drive.
