You probably won't find a cheaper set of rechargeable AAs than these Amazon ones from Amazon UK or Woot

Saving the environment.

Rechargeable batteries are the way to go if you want the convenience of standard batteries plus the convenience of being able to keep on using them and help the environment a little, too. Amazon has their own ones available from Woot, which are an absolute bargain, and I challenge you to find a cheaper set.

They're currently $4 for a set of four batteries ($1 a battery!), which Woot reckons is a 60 percent reduction on their near-$10 reference price (Amazon is charging $9.50), and an absolute bargain any guise - they are also brand new, so it's a bit of a no-brainer. In the UK, they're also just £5 from Amazon as part of an early Prime Day deal.

Amazon rates these batteries to have a capacity of 2400mAh, making them good for devices that can otherwise be quite demanding, such as camera flashes, radio-controlled toys and game controllers. With how quickly some devices can eat through AAs - I'm looking at you, Xbox Controllers - these rechargeables should be good for lasting a fair amount longer.

The 400 cycles they're rated to last for may not be as much as some other options, but it's still more than enough when you think about it. For instance, if you're charging these once a week every week, it still works out to a near decade of use. And, even if you leave them sitting for some time, they'll still retain a decent level of charge. Amazon says they'll maintain 70 percent for 6 months and 50 percent capacity after a year, and have a shelf life of five years.

If you want to grab some capacious rechargeable batteries for a ridiculous discount, look no further than these Amazon Basics ones from Woot or Amazon UK.
